Pre-School teachers and childcare providers are in a unique situation to help families understand the importance of intentional use of all the tools media offer us.


Our workshops provide materials and resources for having the conversations among our professional associates as well as directly with families.


NAEYC, the major national organization of educators of young children, issued a position statement on NAEYC Violence in the Lives of Children.pdf, including media violence.

They have also issued a Statement on Young Children’s Involvement in Reality Television.


TRUCE (Teachers Resisting Unhealthy Children’s Entertainment) produce and provide an annual guide for teachers and parents to help them in selecting toys that are educationally and developmentally appropriate for young children.   www.truceteachers.org
